The Mission


The production team is charged with the delivery of complex electronic systems on time with the defined product quality. The assembly team works to achieve production goals through the values of safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost control and continuous improvement. We work on continually improving our performance by actively seeking feedback from our internal and external customers and by open and direct feedback to our suppliers. this work is done in our state of the art cleanrooms, where you work on the assembly of modules and complete Transmission Electron Microscopes

The Position


Responsibilities and deliverables include:

  • Performs a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies, sub-assemblies or complete microscope.
  • Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
  • Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

 

The Requirements


The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

  • Typically requires 0-8 years of related experience, or a combination of education, training and experience that demonstrate the required skills. preferably Vocational education (MBO) Mechanical, Electronics, mechatronics, applied physics or mechanics expertise.
  • Familiarity with various mechanical and electrical measuring equipment.
  • Familiarity with Windows and other PC based software.
  • Able to safely lift and manipulate 35 pounds.
  • Ability to read work instructions and assembly drawings.
  • Self sufficient
  • Excellent manual dexterity - ability to work with small objects and microscopes.
  • Ability to handle common industrial chemicals safely.
  • Superior hand/eye coordination.
  • Quick learner with verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to use a variety of small hand tools.
  • Ability to work well with a team.
  • Flexibility towards changes, with a positive work attitude
  • Can take initiative, is flexible and wants to take ownership

Analytical Instruments Group - Materials & Structural Analysis Division
